THE APARTMENT BY THE LINE / SPRING CLEANING INSPO
I like the feeling of a clean, orderly space with a few dabs of organized clutter. I do my best to keep it to a 'few dabs', but daily life sometimes takes me off that path and onto a slippery slope.... a small pile here, some temporary stuff there, and well... things collect & collect. For me this slide cannot last long, because too much disorder begins to effect my mood. I am naturally a less-is-more person. I like to get rid of things, I like negative space - I think breathing room is tranquil. I often think about the best way to live with a healthy balance of real life stuff and mess, and definitely prefer the sense of order that less-is-more creates.
It always feels good to refresh around the change of seasons. Edit. Let go. Repair/replace/refresh things has a way to uplift the spirit. As I start this process, I think about different spaces that inspire me. The Apartment by The Line is, of course, one of them. The photographs here are from their New York apartment, I have some snaps of their Los Angeles apartment here.
They simply get it. Beyond that, everyone is so nice, helpful, and funny. They understand that a beautiful space is more than a collection of super-gorgeous-I-want-one-of-everything-things, it is about a warm welcome and a kindness that extends to every detail.
